    Limerick is a branded Studbook mare in the the AHS and has also been inspected and Approved by the KWPN book. Her sire, Gixibar, is from the world famous German lines of Duellant , Der Lowe xx, and Goldfisch II, whose lineage brings both strong dressage and jumping influence. Limerick began her competition career in eventing where she was very successful through Training Level, winning numerous area awards and high point championships before shifting focus to dressage. There she also did very well showing through 2cd Level and was schooling higher movements before being retired to be bred.
    It is there that Limerick has perhaps shone her brightest, producing outstanding offspring with solid consistency. Her first foal, Kudzu, was by Winston(KWPN), whose sire was the famous Roemer(KWPN) of Iron Spring Farm, one of the top producers of dressage horses in the USDF and in the Dutch registry,(NAWPN & KWPN). Kudzu was presented as a 3 year old to the NAWPN keuring and received the highest honors of 1st Premium and Star designations and was 10th on the NAWPN Top 10 list for 1996. Kudzu is owned and ridden by an amateur rider and has recently Qualified 2cd Level with trainer Alison Faso from Atlanta,GA.
    Limerick then produced Orion, Rubiat, and Tango by, all by Rubinstein(KWPN). Rubinstein was Reserve Champion of his stallion testing in Holland, scoring 10 on jumping and 9's on trainability and temperment. He has produced numerous top level jumpers and is a leading USDF producer of dressage offspring. Orion, a 5 year old bay gelding, is currently owned, ridden and shown by a junior rider. Rubiat, a coming 3 year old bay filly is starting her career under saddle with an amateur rider. And Tango, is a bay yearling gelding currently available here at Windhover. All of these foals by Limerick and Rubinstein share the similar qualities of incredible temperments, splendid movement, and are beautifully built horses showing great promise for their futures.
     Limerick was bred for 2002 to KWPN stallion Anriejetto, 4 time winner of the prestigeous Dressage at Devon Breediing Show. Anriejetto, by Afrikaner xx , was awarded 10's on his gaits by four International judges. The result of this breeding is a young mare with power and elegance.
