Wizard is an '0 3 rich dark brown gelding currently over 16.2h and growing. He is well balanced and elegant and his movement is supple and bright. His dam Joline earned her Keur status with the KWPNand had three superior foals in Holland before being imported to the USA. She is the grandam of KWPN stallion, Scandic, by her Elite daugher Noraline. Joline has now had four foals here at Windhover farm, with Wizard being the first as a result of a cross with KWPN star Darwin. Darwin is well known for producing winners in both the jumping arena as well as in dressage, where he is a leading sire in both disciplines in the KWPN breeding value stats, and with the USDF. The reasons for his offspring's many successes are due to his passing along excellent conformation and movement, but perhaps the most important is an incredibly friendly temperment and a strong willingness to work. This combination can only lead to easy trainabilty and long term soundness of mind and body. Wizard, no exception, is a solid character and is just a delight to handle and should follow his siblings along the path to success in whatever area lead.
Wizard has had the recent good fortune to be purchased by FEI rider Rebecca Cleveland of Birmingham, Al. He will no doubt recieve excellent care and training as he begins his new life and career with her.
